The opportunity

The Director of Information Security Operations leads technical cybersecurity strategy, activities, and operational efforts for the university's Security Operations team. This includes planning and participation in cybersecurity projects and operations, either independently or as part of larger University projects. You have relevant security expertise, business acumen, project management experience, and outstanding interpersonal skills. The Director of Information Security Operations reports directly to the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer. You will work remotely in any of our approved working states.

What You'll Do:

  • You will lead,manage, and maturethe Security Operationsfunctionand lead the university’s information security incident response capability.
  • You will define strategy for Security Operationsat SNHUanddevelop and oversee the roadmap for the Security Operationsfunction.
  • You will advise the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, the Chief Information Security Officer, and other Information Technology senior leadership on relevantSecurity Operationsmatters.
  • You will partner with the Director of Information Security Engineering and other Information Technology peers on relevantinformation securitymatters.
  • You will create business casestosupport Security Operations investment and resourcing.
  • You willdevelop and monitor metricsfor gauging effectiveness of the Security Operations function.
  • You will recommend and lead a portfolio of projects insupport of theSecurity Operations function.
  • You will monitor industry trends and developments, staying up to date with the latest technology and practices in cybersecurity.
  • You will managea team ofarchitects, analysts, andindividual contributors, and build and manage relationships with multiple vendors.
  • You will work together with the Information Security Management Office leadership team, and across ITS and other departments to identify and address risks, develop solutions, implement controls, and addressinformation securityrisk.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including leading cybersecurity teams.
  • Master's degree in information assurance, cybersecurity, or relevant discipline
  • Professional Certification(s): CISSP, CISA, CAP, GSLC, CISM, or GCCC.
  • Experience participating in cybersecurity incident response activities.
  • Experience in a security operations center (SOC)..
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks NIST CSF, OWASP, CIS top 20, Mitre att&ck framework

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $121,649.00 - $194,676.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $134,423.00 - $181,867.00.
