Video Editor - DaVinci Resolve (ZR_22551_JOB)

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, 20 hours per week, flexible schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging content aligned with the channel's tone and style and content purpose (narrative, interview, or documentary)
  
• Content Creation for social media: Create short-form videos and other related materials (e.g., YouTube Shorts) that are optimized for social media engagement. This can include short form content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with the content creator or channel manager to understand the brand voice, content strategy, and overall goals for the channel.
  
• Content Scheduling: Assist in organizing and managing the content release calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of videos and social media posts.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing (portfolio or previous work samples required).
  
• Proficiency in video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve or similar tools.
  
• Experience with YouTube's video upload process, including metadata optimization, SEO, and thumbnail creation.
  
• Knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and content strategies (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
  
• Understanding of YouTube Analytics and how to use data to optimize video performance.
  
• Ability to adapt content for different platforms (e.g., YouTube vs. Instagram vs. TikTok).
  
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail, story structure, and pacing.
  
• Disciplined, accountable, reliable, and able to meet deadlines in a flexible work environment.
  
• Ability to work independently, but also as part of a collaborative team.
  
• Available for collaborative discussions with the content creator at the agreed schedule.

Preferred (But Not Required):

• Good understanding of YouTube's monetization models (AdSense, etc.) and how to integrate them into content
  
• Strong ability to collaborate and develop relevant and sensible social media strategy and marketing campaigns to drive traffic to the channels
  
• Experience with motion graphics and animation (e.g., After Effects).
  
• Previous experience working with influencers, brands, or digital media.
