Interior Design Drafter - SketchUp & LayOut

This is a remote position.

Schedule:

• 20 hours per week
  
• Monday to Friday, with a flexible work schedule during client business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM New South Wales, Australia time).
  

We are a dynamic interior design firm specializing in cabinetry and interior spaces, and we are looking for a skilled Draftsperson to join our team. If you have experience in interior drafting and cabinetry design, we’d love to hear from you!


Key Responsibilities:

• Convert supplied .dwg or PDF floor plans into SketchUp 2024, setting up files for our design process (including walls, windows, doors, ceilings, etc.)
  
• Produce simple tile layouts in SketchUp, updating designs with client-selected tiles after appointments
  
• Create basic interior designs using our SketchUp component library, preparing them for final detailing
  
• Convert finalized SketchUp designs into LayOut using our templates, including:
  

• 3D perspective views
  
• 2D elevations with dimensions and notes.
  

• Assist in adding cabinetry designs and finer details based on our specialized approach.
  

Requirements

• Proficient in SketchUp 2024 & LayOut (mandatory requirement)
  
• With prior experience drafting for interior design projects​
  
• Cabinetry design experience is a plus
  
• Ability to interpret architectural floor plans and translate them into SketchUp models
  
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet quick turnaround times for tile layouts and basic design setups
  
• Open to learning and adapting to our design standards and processes
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting
