Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school, or needing an at-home/flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual has grown to six schools across three states: Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Stellar Virtual is committed to going above and beyond for our virtual families.

Position Overview
The Manager of Training and Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating professional learning programs to support academic staff across all schools under Stellar Virtual. This role ensures that educators and academic leaders are equipped with the necessary skills, tools, and knowledge to deliver high-quality virtual instruction and achieve student success.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • One Number: 100% of New Hire Training Completed within 10 Days from Start Date
  • Program Development and Implementation
  • Design and deliver professional development initiatives tailored to the needs of academic staff.
  • Collaborate with school leaders to identify training needs and establish annual learning priorities.
  • Develop and maintain an online repository of training materials and resources.
  • Leadership and Coaching
  • Provide leadership and coaching to Master Teachers, Department Chairs, and other instructional leaders.
  • Mentor academic staff in the implementation of instructional best practices in a virtual environment.
  • Collaboration and Partnership
  • Partner with curriculum and technology teams to align training programs with academic goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between Stellar Shared Services, Human Resources/Recruiting, and individual schools to ensure consistent communication and alignment.
  • Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, feedback, and performance data.
  • Adapt and refine professional learning offerings based on participant feedback and emerging trends in education.
  • Compliance and Standards
  • Ensure professional development aligns with state and federal standards for virtual education.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and apply them to improve training programs.
  • Event Coordination
  • Plan and coordinate workshops, webinars, and other training events for academic staff.
  • Manage logistics, including scheduling, materials, and follow-up activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Minimum of 5 years in teaching or academic leadership, preferably in a virtual education setting.
  • Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, or professional development delivery.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using virtual learning platforms and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Certification Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, or a related field is required;
  • A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
