The Technical Solutions Architect will lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions for large-scale healthcare and human services platforms. This role focuses on creating secure, scalable, and reliable architectures while collaborating with developers, cloud engineers, and stakeholders to ensure end-to-end solution delivery. You will define technical strategies, guide infrastructure and application design, and ensure compliance with data protection standards. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, hands-on experience with cloud technologies, and a proven ability to translate complex requirements into actionable technical solutions. The role provides a remote work environment with the opportunity to impact critical healthcare program monitoring and reporting.
Accountabilities
- Lead architecture design and solution development for cloud-hosted platforms supporting reporting and monitoring.
- Define technical strategies for integration, data access, system interoperability, and application design.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, databases, dashboards, and data pipelines to ensure performance, scalability, and security.
- Guide the design of APIs, microservices, and data models to support analytical and reporting use cases.
- Evaluate tools, frameworks, and design patterns to align with project goals and objectives.
- Serve as a technical advisor throughout the software development life cycle from design to deployment.
- Document architecture decisions, workflows, and compliance considerations.
- Ensure alignment with federal and state IT standards and participate in technical discussions with stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture roles.
- Proven expertise designing solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of data architecture, including structured and unstructured data, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Experience designing secure systems compliant with HIPAA, NIST, FedRAMP, or state-level policies.
- Proficiency with cloud-native services, infrastructure-as-code, and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with application integration patterns, APIs, and middleware solutions.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Experience with Medicaid, CHIP, or other public sector healthcare programs.
- Knowledge of performance measurement frameworks such as HEDIS or CAHPS.
- Background in designing enterprise monitoring systems, dashboards, or quality management tools.
