The Compliance Analyst I plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional client experience by preparing and submitting regulatory filings that require manual processing. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, translating their information into state-compliant documentation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured, deadline-driven environment and takes pride in precision, communication, and client service.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Filing & Quality

  • Prepare compliance applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to filing standards.
  • Research state-specific requirements and contact agencies directly when clarification is needed.
  • Complete filings using the most current client data while proactively clarifying incomplete or ambiguous information.

Client Service & Communication

  • Act as the primary client contact for assigned filings, ensuring a positive and professional client experience.
  • Maintain 90% or higher client satisfaction (CSAT) through clear, warm, and organized communication.
  • De-escalate client concerns and provide proactive updates through email, phone, or video as appropriate.
  • Invoice filing fees and follow up on outstanding items in a timely manner.

Client Retention & Growth

  • Identify opportunities to recommend additional services based on client needs.
  • Contribute to team retention goals and generate at least one client referral annually.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of professional experience
  • Previous success in a client-facing role such as customer service or sales
  • Proven ability to manage detail-heavy or complex tasks (e.g., accounting, operations, insurance, medical records, banking)
  • Demonstrated history of meeting deadlines consistently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite, email, CRM tools, and online software platforms.

Compensation:

Harbor Compliance’s base salary range for this role is listed below. Compensation at the time of offer is based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of Harbor Compliance’s total compensation package. Other benefits may include health benefits, flexible paid time off, parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k), and educational reimbursement. Note that the salary range and benefits apply only to U.S.-based candidates.
