Senior Machine Learning Engineer - LLM Specialist - Octopus by RTG

Octopus by RTG is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and applied Machine Learning to design, develop, and deploy scalable ML/LLM-powered solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in delivering end-to-end GenAI solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of hands-on experience specifically with LLMs and GenAI
• Experience working with LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Gemini) and open-source models (e.g. LLaMA, Mixtral)
• Proven track record of shipping production systems using LLMs—not just POCs
• Experience fine-tuning LLMs or other open-source models
• 4+ years of professional experience in Machine Learning (excluding internships or academic research)
• Strong NLP experience and familiarity with other areas of machine learning
