Are you ready to take the lead in underwriting and relationship management within the surety space? As anUnderwriting Manager (Surety)at Everest Insurance, you’ll be responsible for underwriting new and renewal contract and commercial bond business, while building and maintaining strong relationships with independent agents and brokers.
Develop and expand Everest’s regional presence by actively meeting with and soliciting brokers and agents.
Underwrite mid and upper-mid market contract surety accounts, as well as Fortune 1000 commercial surety accounts—including those with U.S. and foreign-based indemnitors.
Collaborate with Surety leadership and Credit teams to produce business that aligns with Everest’s underwriting and credit standards.
Manage a book of agents and brokers, setting goals and objectives for each and conducting agency visits as needed.
Implement pricing and selection standards that support strategic objectives and financial goals.
Deliver the highest level of product quality and customer service.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
At least 3 years of experience in Surety or equivalent experience in banking or investment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and computer skills.
A customer-focused mindset and a self-motivated, proactive approach.
The ability to thrive in a small team environment and take on tasks that drive the operation forward.
For NJ Only: The base salary range for this position is $134,000 - $150,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
