We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our client’s day-to-day financial operations. This role will assist with payroll processing, bookkeeping, and general accounting functions using ADP and QuickBooks. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting using ADP.
- Support bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries in QuickBooks.
- Help maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Generate basic financial reports as requested (e.g., expense reports, payroll summaries).
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and maintain compliance with financial policies.
- Assist with onboarding-related financial tasks, such as setting up payroll and tax accounts for new hires.
- Communicate with vendors, employees, and stakeholders regarding payment status or payroll matters, as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll support.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and ADP required.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and payroll processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.).
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
