Are you detail-oriented with a passion for bookkeeping and accounting accuracy? We’re looking for a Home-Based Bookkeeper/Accountant to support our U.S.-based client in the accounting firm industry. This role demands a proactive approach, working in tandem with our dedicated team of accounting professionals, providing reports to senior staff, and interacting with external clients and vendors as necessary.

REQUIRED CORE COMPETENCIES

• Organization: Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in coding, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Communication: Excellent English written and verbal skills with a problem-solving mindset.

• Accounting Knowledge: Proficient in US GAAP and general accounting principles.

• Technical Agility: Skilled in Xero and other cloud-based accounting tools, with adaptability to new platforms.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Efficiently code bank and credit card transactions in Xero with an emphasis on accuracy.

• Assist with month-end reconciliations to maintain correct and up-to-date financial records.

• Support the preparation of financial reports for both internal and external purposes, adhering to deadlines and reporting requirements.

• Utilize Xero and other cloud accounting software (Bill.com, Gusto, Keeper, Zapier, etc.) for a broad range of accounting tasks, including data management and analysis.

• Collaborate closely with our CPA team to maintain high standards of accounting service/support.

• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective information exchange.

• Take on additional accounting responsibilities as needed, showing flexibility and a readiness to adapt to varied tasks.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent education and experience.

• Experience: 1–3 years of proven bookkeeping or accounting experience.

• Language Proficiency: Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

• Working schedule: Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within US operating hours.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and an openness to using task management tools (ex. Keeper, others).

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.

  • Strong proficiency in Xero accounting software is required (2+ years of experience using Xero).

  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and familiarity with US GAAP.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Salary Range: PHP 35,000 – 40,000

• Work Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (USA)

• Workdays: Monday through Friday (USA)
