Senior Software Engineer, Android Automotive Developer Platforms

The Android Auto team is building next-level experiences in cars, focusing on enabling developers to create applications for automotive platforms. The Car App Library team builds frameworks to simplify developers' work by abstracting hardware variability and providing driver distraction-aware solutions. This role involves contributing to the Car App Library, understanding automotive OEM and app developer needs, defining metrics, and collaborating with internal and external partners to leverage Android Auto's capabilities in the evolving automotive landscape.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in C++, C, or Python.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
