This is an opportunity to take a leading role in shaping health and safety practices across operational sites in the Midlands. As Health & Safety Business Partner, you will provide expert guidance, support, and assurance to ensure safe working environments and compliance with legislation. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, site leads, and operational teams to deliver effective risk management strategies, develop improvement plans, and foster a culture of safety. By analyzing data, sharing insights, and driving root cause investigations, you’ll help reduce workplace risks and promote continuous learning. This is a highly visible role where your expertise will directly impact employee wellbeing and business performance.

Accountabilities:

• Partner with operational leaders to deliver the health and safety vision, mission, and business plans.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to implement effective risk controls across multiple sites.
• Use specialist knowledge of risk profiles to assure stakeholders and drive proactive improvements.
• Support and educate teams through training, communication, and knowledge sharing.
• Work with site leads to design and implement health and safety improvement plans.
• Lead and support incident investigations using root cause analysis methodologies.
• Collect, analyze, and present safety data to provide actionable insights for operational colleagues.
• Stay up to date on legislation and maintain professional knowledge through continuous development.

Requirements

• Recognised NEBOSH qualification and professional status.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar health and safety role.
• Proven ability to apply structured, practical solutions that link H&S to business outcomes.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with the confidence to challenge and support operational colleagues.
• Demonstrated collaborative approach with a focus on education and cultural improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisions.
