Job Role: Virtual Assistant

Compensation range: $1,100 - $1,500 AUD/month

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: Are you social impact motivated and eager to use your skills to support projects that change lives and communities? We’re seeking a reliable and proactive Virtual Assistant to join our growing Brisbane-based team. You’ll provide a mix of administrative, client management, bookkeeping, and project support, while learning and growing with an organisation dedicated to housing, disability services, and community development initiatives.

This is not a typical admin role — we want someone with transferable skills (administration, coordination, customer service, bookkeeping, or project support) who is eager to commit long-term. As our organisation expands, so will your opportunities for development and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Client & Tenant Liaison – Communicate with clients and tenants promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
• Tenancy & Participant Management – Assist with lease agreements, tenant/participant communications, and maintaining accurate records.
• Administration & Diary Management – Manage email inboxes, prepare documents, schedule appointments, and coordinate team calendars.
• Bookkeeping Support – Handle basic financial tasks such as invoicing, expense tracking, and reconciliation.
• Project Support – Assist in managing projects in housing, disability services (NDIS/SDA), and social enterprise by tracking progress and coordinating tasks.
• Compliance & Operations – Support operational processes, maintain filing systems, and ensure compliance requirements are met.

• Commitment – Ability to stay and grow with us long-term as we scale.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that may be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

• Be available for meetings and collaboration during core AEST or PHT business hours
• Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
• Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
