About the role

We’re seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of complex features from end to end — from backend services and data pipelines to polished React interfaces. You’ll work across TypeScript, Python, and React/Next.js to build, scale, and maintain production-grade SaaS systems.
This is a hands-on engineering role that blends strong technical design, high-quality implementation, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll help integrate systems like Teams, Zoom, Veeva, and Salesforce; productionise ML models into reliable data workflows; and champion clean, observable, and secure code throughout the stack.
You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team focused on scalable cloud-native architecture, modern DevOps practices, and seamless delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own features end-to-end across backend (TypeScript/Python services) and frontend (React/Next.js UIs).
  • Refactor and optimise ingestion pipelines, integrating enterprise systems such as Teams, Zoom, Veeva, and Salesforce.
  • Productionise ML models into efficient, reliable data pipelines.
  • Design and maintain APIs (REST and GraphQL) that enable smooth service-to-service communication.
  • Deploy and scale applications on AWS, leveraging serverless, containers, and networking fundamentals.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, CDK, and Terraform.
  • Work with datastores such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB, alongside caching and eventing systems like SQS and EventBridge.
  • Apply secure SDLC practices, conduct peer reviews, and perform performance profiling and observability through logs, metrics, and traces.
  • Mentor peers, participate in code reviews, and drive continuous improvement across the engineering team.
  • Communicate clearly through architectural storytelling, proactive async updates, and crisp handovers across distributed teams.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of professional experience building and deploying production SaaS applications.
  • Proven expertise in TypeScript and Node.js, with strong proficiency in Python for services or data pipelines.
  • 3+ years of experience developing rich frontends using React/Next.js.
  • Strong experience in API design (REST and GraphQL).
  • Solid understanding of AWS (serverless, containers, networking) and familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code using CDK or Terraform.
  • Practical experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and event-driven systems (SQS, EventBridge).
  • Knowledge of secure SDLC, performance profiling, and observability best practices.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills, especially in async environments.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed teams and mentoring peers in code quality and architecture.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated sectors such as healthcare, pharma, or finance.
  • Prior exposure to enterprise system integrations (Teams, Zoom, Salesforce, Veeva).
  • Understanding of event-driven architectures, distributed systems, or microservices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance tuning for high-scale applications.

Benefits

  • Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter)
  • No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just words
  • Day 1 Benefits: Laptop and full medical insurance provided
  • Support That Matters: Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are shared
  • True Belonging: A long-term career where your contributions are valued
At Smart Working, you’ll never be just another remote hire.
