This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Engineer (SAP-BTP) in India.

As a Staff Engineer specializing in SAP BTP, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing advanced SAP solutions that drive efficiency and innovation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex functional requirements into scalable technical solutions, leveraging SAP ABAP, RAP, and other technologies. This role involves leading the development of high-quality RICEF objects, workflows, and APIs, as well as supporting testing, UAT, and production rollouts. You will guide teams, resolve complex technical challenges, and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding functional requirements and analyzing client needs within the context of projects.
  • Designing overall solutions, selecting technologies, frameworks, and development patterns.
  • Coordinating application development schedules, activities, and resources to enable successful delivery.
  • Leading or supporting UAT and production rollouts while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Creating, validating, and justifying work breakdown structures (WBS) and effort estimates.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, including code and design challenges.
  • Conducting proofs of concept (POCs) to validate design approaches and technology choices.
  • Providing constructive feedback and setting clear expectations for team members.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in SAP development, with strong expertise in ABAP and RAP.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP PP, QM, and PM modules.
  • Deep knowledge of RICEF objects, IDocs, workflows, and ABAP OOPs concepts.
  • Proficiency in creating proxies, APIs, and OData services with ABAP as the base.
  • Experience in solution design, technical architecture, and implementing complex SAP developments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to mentor teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
