About the Role

Project Y is recruiting a Junior Operations Coordinator (German-speaking) on behalf of a fast-growing European logistics company operating in the cross-border vehicle transport industry.

Our client helps individuals and businesses move vehicles seamlessly across Europe, combining modern logistics systems with strong customer service to deliver a consistently high-quality experience. Backed by experienced founders and operating at scale across multiple European markets, the company is growing rapidly and building efficient, people-driven operations.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable communicating with customers and partners, particularly in French. You’ll work closely with an experienced operations team and gain exposure to international logistics workflows in a dynamic, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport Coordination: Support day-to-day vehicle transport operations by liaising with drivers, compounds, and logistics partners to ensure smooth execution.

• Operational Support: Assist the operations team with ad-hoc tasks and coordination activities as required.

• Cross-Functional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams, external partners, and service providers.

• Customer Communication: Handle phone-based customer interactions, providing updates and ensuring a positive experience throughout the transport process.

• Process Support: Help maintain organised records and contribute to operational efficiency through accurate follow-ups and coordination.

Requirements

• Languages: Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
  Additional European languages are advantageous but not required.

• Location: Must be based in South Africa with a reliable internet connection.

• Mindset: Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented with a willingness to learn.

• Communication Skills: Comfortable speaking with customers over the phone; experience in customer support, operations, or sales is beneficial.

• Organisation: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
