CarbonCure Technologies is a fast-growing carbon utilization technology company on a mission to reduce embodied carbon in new concrete construction. We're looking for a highly capable Field Service Engineer to take ownership of system issues from initial remote assessment through on-site resolution, using data analysis and close collaboration with internal teams and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Controls, Chemical, Process, or Civil Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
- 3+ years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or controls and electrical troubleshooting
- Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems using a multimeter and basic test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
- Working knowledge of PLCs, I/O modules, ladder logic programming, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, serial communications)
- Familiarity with service case management tools, documentation standards, and customer-facing technical communications
- Strong written communication and documentation skills
- Understanding of reliability engineering concepts, including MTBF/MTTR, failure mode analysis, and corrective action tracking
- Experience in industrial environments; background in concrete industry operations is an asset
- Proficiency with collaboration and service software platforms such as Slack, Smartsheet, Salesforce, and the Atlassian suite
- Comfortable working independently, planning travel, managing tight deadlines, and operating in a highly variable environment with minimal supervision
