ML Engineer - Automated Scorer

Pearson's Automated Scoring Team is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and deploy machine learning models for standardized test scoring. This role involves training, evaluating, and optimizing models, monitoring performance, and contributing to innovation. The team collaborates with program managers, quality assurance engineers, and various stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and reliability of automated scoring technologies.

Requirements

• Qualified individuals must have a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (CS, EE, statistics, math, data science).
• 0-2 years professional experience as a software engineer or data scientist.
• Strong understanding of machine learning principles and current/emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in Python and Linux commands.
• Understanding of or experience with deploying machine learning models into production environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
