This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer – SLED in California (USA) and Washington (USA).

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to work with public sector, education, and government (SLED) accounts, providing technical guidance and demonstrating solutions that address complex security and identity challenges. In this role, you will collaborate with account executives and cross-functional teams to deliver compelling product presentations, proof-of-concepts, and demos tailored to the needs of diverse stakeholders, from IT administrators to C-level executives. You will help customers understand the value of identity and access management solutions while influencing product strategy with actionable feedback. This position offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with customers, tackle technically challenging problems, and make a measurable impact on customer success across critical SLED organizations.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with account executives to develop and execute account strategies for SLED clients.
  • Conduct discovery and research to understand customer technical requirements and identify solutions.
  • Deliver proof-of-concepts and technical demos for complex customer use cases.
  • Create technical content demonstrating implementation of solutions and best practices.
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers navigate identity, security, and access management solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of pre-sales or solutions engineering experience.
  • Experience selling into SLED accounts.
  • Strong technical understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) including SSO, MFA, SCIM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, LDAP, lifecycle management, RBAC, and provisioning/deprovisioning.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and core security concepts (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption, XSS, XSRF).
  • Hands-on experience with web, mobile, or backend development is a plus (JavaScript, HTML, iOS, Android, Java, Node.js, Python, PHP, C#, Ruby).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including IT admins, CISOs, architects, and executives.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% for customer engagements and onboarding.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred.
