You will engage with customers of all sizes, including enterprises, mid-market organizations, small businesses, and fast-moving startups. Your solutioning work will span Digital Engineering, CMS and DXP modernization, Cloud and DevOps, MarTech platforms, Data and Analytics solutions, and AI-driven capabilities. Solution Consultants own the quality, clarity, and feasibility of the proposed solution from presales through discovery, ensuring alignment across customer, delivery, and business teams.
As a Solution Consultant, you will collaborate closely with customers and their product teams to validate requirements, explore solution options, and recommend scalable, future-ready architectures. You will play a central role in the presales stage, crafting solution approaches, defining scope, evaluating trade-offs, and contributing to proposals. In many engagements, you will also support project discovery by guiding requirement articulation, shaping technical directions, and aligning delivery teams on the solution blueprint. This role requires structured thinking, strong communication, and the ability to simplify complex problems. You will serve as a trusted advisor who helps organizations navigate technology choices, align internal stakeholders, and adopt proven engineering, cloud, data, and experience design practices tailored to their strategic goals.

Your Job Responsibilities

Solutioning, Architecture, and Digital Strategy

  • Lead solution definition across Digital Engineering, DXP, CMS modernization, Cloud Modernization, MarTech, Data Solutions, and AI-driven initiatives.
  • Evaluate customer requirements, constraints, and existing systems to propose scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, gap identification, and impact evaluation across systems, workflows, and technical constraints.
  • Create solution blueprints including high-level architectures, integration patterns, user flow mappings, data and API considerations, and deployment strategies.
  • Develop presales solution documents, scope outlines, estimation inputs, and technical narratives that support proposal creation and sales opportunities.

Customer Collaboration and Technical Advisory

  • Collaborate closely with customers and their product teams to validate requirements, challenge assumptions, and co-create solution options.
  • Advise customers on technology stacks, architectural decisions, technology trade-offs, delivery risks, and prioritization strategies.
  • Present solution approaches with clarity, tailoring communication for business, product, and technical stakeholders.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships by demonstrating credibility, strategic thinking, and customer-centric solutioning.

Presales Solutioning and Deal Enablement

  • Lead technical and solution aspects of presales engagements, shaping strong responses for new opportunities.
  • Prepare technical solution narratives, architecture overviews, scope breakdowns, and effort estimation inputs for proposals and RFPs.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Partnerships to understand opportunity context, constraints, and customer expectations.
  • Participate in pitch presentations, customer evaluations, Q&A sessions, and architectural deep dives during the sales cycle.
  • Support qualification processes by identifying risks, dependencies, and alignment gaps early in the deal lifecycle.

Project Discovery and Delivery Alignment

  • Support delivery teams in project kickoffs and discovery phases to ensure a smooth transition from presales to delivery.
  • Provide ongoing advisory support to ensure the execution aligns with the intended solution and customer expectations.
  • Identify and escalate risks or deviations from solution intent, recommending corrective actions where needed.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Internal Enablement

  • Work closely with architects, engineers, design teams, analysts, and project managers to foster a shared understanding of the solution.
  • Provide internal teams with clarification, domain insights, and context needed to deliver successfully.
  • Mentor junior consultants and engineers on solutioning, documentation, and customer communication best practices.
  • Contribute to building reusable solution patterns, playbooks, templates, and internal knowledge assets.

Innovation, Research, and Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about the latest trends in digital platforms, cloud technologies, data engineering, AI tools, architectural patterns, and emerging market shifts to recommend forward-looking enhancements that strengthen customer platforms and Axelerant’s solutioning capabilities.
  • Conduct research spikes, evaluate new tools/technologies, and share insights with internal and customer teams.
  • Help evolve Axelerant’s solution frameworks, methodologies, and digital transformation approach.
  • Build reusable solution assets, accelerators, and reference architectures, including industry-specific use cases that enhance delivery speed, consistency, and value for customers

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on engineering and 3+ years of experience in solution consulting, technical architecture, or digital strategy roles across diverse digital programs.
  • Strong understanding of one or more Axelerant service domains, including Digital Engineering, CMS and DXP platforms, Cloud Modernization, MarTech ecosystems, Data and Analytics, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Proven ability to translate business goals and product requirements into architecture recommendations, solution blueprints, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Experience evaluating customer systems, reviewing technical landscapes, and identifying gaps, risks, dependencies, and modernization opportunities.
  • Strong capability in designing integration patterns, API strategies, data workflows, cloud architectures, and multi-system interactions.
  • Familiarity with security considerations, compliance requirements, performance optimizations, and governance frameworks in digital programs.
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with engineering, design, cloud, data, and QA teams during presales and discovery stages.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to technical, business, and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience creating presales solution documents, scoping models, proposals, and estimation inputs for enterprise and mid-market opportunities.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and the ability to drive clarity in ambiguous or evolving customer contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead solution discussions, influence decisions, and build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams.
Good To Have
  • Exposure to industry-specific architectures or frameworks in verticals like higher education, nonprofits, public sector, retail, healthcare, finance, or media.
  • Familiarity with personalization, AI-assisted experience layers, CDP integrations, marketing automation platforms, or analytics ecosystems.
  • Prior consulting experience in digital agencies, SaaS companies, or transformation programs with complex multi-team environments.
  • Experience contributing to reusable solution assets like templates, accelerators, industry blueprints, or reference implementations.
