Our clientm a leading B2B marketplace serving the property management sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant AP/AR Specialist to join their finance team and provide interim support beginning in October on a part-time basis (15-20 hours), then transition to full-time (40 hours) in December for 12-15 weeks. This role is crucial in maintaining the company's financial health and supporting the continued growth.

Position Overview

The Accountant AP/AR Specialist will be responsible for a variety of financial duties, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable collections, sales tax management, and assisting with month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor communications
  • Perform regular bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections, including following up on overdue payments and maintaining customer relationships
  • Organize and maintain sales tax exemption certificates for eligible transactions
  • Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and financial reports
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

● 3+ years of experience in accounting

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
