Who We are: At Wagepoint, we’re good people. Sure, maybe we’re biased.

Who We are:
At Wagepoint, we’re good people. Sure, maybe we’re biased. But that’s only because Wagepointers bring the best versions of ourselves to do some of the best work in our careers.
We’re an authentic team who bring our diverse backgrounds, ideas, experiences and cultures together to make payroll magic. Speaking of, we “pull rabbits out of hats” for thousands of small business owners across Canada who rely on our payroll software to pay their employees and process their payroll taxes. And we’re just getting started.
We’re growing and looking for more awesome people to join our merry band of misfits. We are looking for people who share our understanding that when it comes to our commitment to our customers: we mean business. Especially given that the consequences of getting payroll wrong can sometimes be dire.
If you are the kind of person who has always wanted to make a difference and be heard at work, Wagepoint will give you plenty of opportunity to do just that.
The Role at High Level:

Wagepoint is looking for a customer-obsessed, outcome-oriented Product Manager to join our growing Product team. You’ll be a key driver of the evolution of our payroll platform, shaping features, solving customer pain points, and working cross-functionally to bring impactful solutions to market.
In this role, you’ll own part of our core payroll product, helping to integrate functionality from acquired products, close critical gaps between Wagepoint 1.0 and 2.0, and lead the discovery and delivery of experiences that support small business success.
You’ll work closely in a trio with Design and Engineering, supported by Customer Success, Risk, Marketing and Compliance, to prioritize what matters most and ship with confidence. Your work will directly support Wagepoint’s mission to deliver reliable, delightful payroll for small businesses, where accuracy is critical, and great product design builds trust.

What You'll Be Expected To Own:

Customer Discovery & Insight
  • Join customer calls, analyze support data, and summarize insights from tools like Gong, Zendesk, Pendo, and Dovetail
  • Map friction points and bring voice-of-customer into planning
  • Ensure roadmap priorities are grounded in real user needs
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Planning
  • Work closely in a product trio to shape early ideas, define problem spaces, and align on solution hypotheses
  • Write user stories, support estimation, and contribute to release plans
  • Participate in rituals like sprint planning, retros, and async updates
Platform Integration & Migration Support
  • Help unify and modernize experiences across legacy and acquired products
  • Contribute to closing known product gaps and improving consistency from 1.0 → 2.0
  • Align closely with Engineering and CS on migration readiness and partner needs
Feature Success & Outcome Tracking
  • Define success metrics for key features and monitor post-launch performance
  • Use analytics to evaluate usage and inform iteration
  • Share results with stakeholders and advocate for continuous improvement
AI-Accelerated Product Ops
  • Use AI tools to speed up feedback analysis, generate briefs, and structure documentation
  • Stay curious about how AI can enhance team workflows and user experiences

What You Bring To The Table:

  • 3–5 years in product management for SaaS solutions
  • Strong discovery skills and a user-first mindset
  • Excellent communication and collaboration instincts
  • Comfort working in agile environments and adapting in ambiguity
  • Familiarity with B2B, payroll, fintech, or compliance-heavy domains is a bonus
  • You’re AI-curious and someone who explores new tools and uses tech to work smarter, not harder
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Slack, Gong, and Pendo. Familiarity with these is great, but curiosity and flexibility matter more.

What We Bring To The Table:

  • Impact: Roll up your sleeves and directly contribute to the growth and success of Wagepoint by shaping our workforce.
  • Culture: The opportunity to work with the world’s friendliest team, solving interesting problems together with an endless amount of laughter (We work hard, but we always have time for a bad joke or two).
  • Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement - we are always, always learning with a growth oriented mindset.
  • Innovation: Work in an environment that encourages creativity and new ideas.
  • Remote: The ability to work from home, forever! Wagepoint is a remote company, so you don’t have to worry about commuting to an office. Plus, more time with your pets is always a bonus!
