Come help us create and expand relationships with customers who want to transform the way their organizations work. We’re seeking an experienced teamplayer to help us sell the solutions, products and services that our customers have chosen to rely their business on.

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Strategic Account Manager with experience in solution selling within the IT industry to join our team in Germany. In this role, you'll be assigned specific top accounts of our financial services vertical and will be responsible for developing strategic account plans and executing against them in a highly competitive market. While acting as a trusted partner to these customers, you will also build new relationships and expand business while meeting assigned sales quotas.

What you will do:

  • Build and deepen relationships with strategic customers to help influence their long-term technology and business decisions. Add value and act as a trusted advisor by bringing compelling insights and ideas with follow through execution

  • Successfully sell the company's solutions or services to well-known enterprise accounts in financial services sector

  • Lead and manage entire business cycles and present large multi-year agreements to CEO and C-level executives

  • Establish a strategic partnership with customers on different levels of their organization, while understanding their business needs and presenting solutions to address them

  • Create strategic plans to develop new accounts and expand existing accounts

  • Represent Red Hat to the customer and the customer to Red Hat in all sales-related matters

  • Understand the customer's business, product requirements, and industry challenges

  • Work collaboratively with a solutions architect, overlay structures, insides sales representatives, and our partner ecosystem

  • Manage complex accounts across different functions with forecast and budgetary accuracy, serving as the primary customer contact for all adoption-related activities

What you will bring:

  • 8+ years of experience selling complex IT solutions to large organizations and multiple decision makers

  • Track record of long-lasting customer relationships that have expanded business

  • Vertical knowledge, especially in banking

  • Exceptional communication and technical skills to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organizations

  • Business mindset with a successful track record of developing account strategies

  • Good leadership skills; ability to create a vision for your accounts and inspire your team colleagues to help make it a reality

  • Active, practical approach toward products, markets, and clients' business challenges

  • Focused on building solid and trusted relationships with customers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
